Biography

Andrew qualified as a Physiotherapist from the University of Plymouth in 2010 and started his career working as a junior physiotherapist within the NHS. During his 5 and a half years working at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust he gained significant experience in all areas of Physiotherapy but particularly enjoyed working in orthopaedic medicine. He became a Senior Physiotherapist working in both the inpatient and outpatient musculoskeletal settings.

Alongside this, Andrew initially worked part-time in the private sector for over 4 years at Solent Sports Injury Clinic, where he developed a passion for Sports and Exercise Medicine.

Andrew transitioned from the NHS into full time Private care in 2016 working as a Senior Physiotherapist at Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital; this included working alongside Sports Injuries Consultants in a weekly clinic. He has always strived to deliver excellent patient care by keeping up to date with the most modern Physiotherapy concepts and research.

In the evenings and weekends, Andrew is a keen rugby enthusiast and has close links locally with Trojans Rugby Club. He is also the most senior Physiotherapist working at Hampshire Country Rugby Club where he has been working over the last 6 years. He is regularly exposed to dealing with on pitch trauma then progressing players right through the rehabilitation process into return to play programmes. He continues to work with London Irish Rugby Club for their youth academy players on a weekly basis over the winter as well.

When he is not looking after others, Andrew tries to look after himself as well and is passionate about health and exercise. He regularly participates in Crossfit and understands the high demands physical exertion places on the body and the strong desire athletes have to return to participation as quickly as possible after injury. When not in the gym, Andrew is no stranger to the slopes and enjoys snowboarding every season.

Andrew has now taken up the Clinic Manager role at our Oxford Street branch and is looking forward to further developing both our clinical excellence and client relationships.
