Jen is the most recent member of the Jonathan Clark Physiotherapy team. She completed a degree in Biological Sciences (Physiology Honours) at the University of Edinburgh and then went on to achieve a First Class Honours degree in Physiotherapy at the University of Southampton.
After qualification Jen spent 5 years in the NHS, gaining a wealth of knowledge in all areas of physiotherapy with a focus on Musculoskeletal and Orthopaedics. During this time she worked on the emergency Orthopaedic and Respiratory on-call service. She moved to a private clinic (LB healthcare) in 2014 where she soon became the main physiotherapist within the team. Here she continued to develop herself as an autonomous practitioner, formulating individual physiotherapy treatment programmes, goal setting, evaluating progress and adapting physiotherapy treatment plans as required.
Jen enjoys sharing her knowledge with other therapists and has set up training sessions within her role at LB Healthcare. She has also worked alongside specialist orthopaedic physiotherapists at the Spire Hospital in Southampton. Here she further developed her skills in orthopaedics and as a result has a broad understanding of various orthopaedic conditions and the rehabilitation journey required to allow patients to meet their goals and return to the activities that they enjoy.
Jen qualified in acupuncture in 2011 and is a full member of the AACP. She also has a Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage and is qualified in hydrotherapy. She holds an APPI Pilates qualification and is continuing on this pathway to gain top level Pilates recognition. Jen enjoys expanding her physiotherapy toolbox and regularly attends courses to explore new concepts and ideas in order to formulate the optimal evidence based rehabilitation programme for her patients.
Jen loves to spend time with her family. She has two young boys to keep her on her toes and as a result life is certainly never dull. She also enjoys a Saturday morning Whiteley park run, loves swimming and is passionate about Pilates.
