Liam is a Chartered Physiotherapist who graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2015. Prior to his physiotherapy training Liam graduated Nottingham Trent University with a first class honours in Sport and Exercise Science, gaining some valuable experiencing working within the sport science and strength and conditioning industries.
After graduation Liam spent a number of years working in a busy NHS outpatients department, assessing and treating GP, orthopaedic and occupational health referrals. During this time Liam worked closely with extended scope physiotherapists and orthopaedic surgeons developing the patient rehabilitation pathway. He is committed to continuing to enhance his knowledge by regularly attending continued professional development events as well as keeping unto date with current research. Liam’s main clinical interest is in the management of sports related injuries, utilising the skills of both his physiotherapy and sport science education to provide the high level of care within a patient centred framework. Liam currently works for Hampshire Cricket as assistant physiotherapist, Tottonians RFC as well as providing event cover for university sports events along side his work with Jonathan Clark Physiotherapy.
Liam has recently gained Bronze level accreditation by the association of charted physiotherapist in sport and exercise medicine, which highlights his education and skill level of working with the athletic population. Outside of clinical work, Liam has publish research in a peer reviewed journal regarding the function of the shoulder joint during sporting action and this continues to be an area of research interest.
Outside of Physiotherapy Liam enjoys spending time playing sports, keeping fit and traveling the world!
