Since graduating from Keele University in 2007, Tom has accumulated a wealth of musculoskeletal knowledge and experience in a range of physiotherapy areas. These have included working in the NHS in Hampshire and Essex and in various private practices over the past two years.
Tom has a specialist interest in Rheumatological conditions including Rheumatoid Arthritis and Ankylosing Spondylitis and has worked closely alongside Rheumatology consultants at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth, through which he has developed close ties. This also led to a specialist interest in the use of hydrotherapy in the management of acute and chronic conditions. More recently, Tom has played a role in the development of the hydrotherapy content for an exercise prescription software and has a passion for service development.
Tom has developed a network with local orthopaedic consultants who he regularly liaises with regarding appropriate patients. Tom enjoys keeping up to date with continuing professional development and is active in seeking ongoing learning opportunities to benefit his patients.
He has also gained vital Sports Physiotherapy experience working at Basingstoke Rugby Club and Portsmouth Football Club Academy, as well as acquiring specialist training in the biomechanical assessment of runners.
Outside of physiotherapy, Tom enjoys photography and sport, including football, cycling and running.
